Good Evening everyone!!

I have super exciting news to share!!  I bought a Cricut Imagine off of Ebay the other night!!!!!  It shipped yesterday, so I'm hoping to have it early next week!!!   Can't wait to start playing with it and Lauren's new stamps!!  If you haven't saw, she released 4 new sets the other night, visit 40:31 Creations to check them out!!  She has a "New Baby" set that will be just perfect with the new Baby cartridge released today!!

Tomorrow is my last free day to study for my BIG test (nursing license), if I have time during a study break I will post a project for you! If not, you probably won't hear from me until next week! BUT, after that, when I PASS and officially become an RN I won't have to study anymore and will have alot more time!!!

Have a good night!

Quick & Simple card using Lacy Labels Lite Cartridge!

Good Evening everyone!!

I'm taking a break from studying for Nclex to share with you a set of quick cards that I made for my mom a while back. She had surgery on her shoulder and wanted some Thank You cards to give to everyone who helped her out so much! I whipped out 4 of these in about 20 minutes, so quick and easy! I think Lacy Labels Lite cartridge is awesome when you need a quick card and only have a few minutes!

I cut the image at I believe 4", glued it together, added some pop dots, and done!!
Super simple and super cute!!

I also wanted to mention that tomorrow night Lauren from 40:31 Creations is having a Live Ustream to release 5 new stamp sets!!! Here are the details:
Tuesday, January 18 · 10:00pm - 10:30pm EST
She may also be having some giveaways! It will be recorded and posted on her blog as well!!

Have a great day!!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop & Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Wow! 2 posts in one day! Have you all been participating in the My Pink Stamper Blog Hop?!?! If not go to Robyn's website Here to begin. Each blog gives you a "key word" and if you follow the blog hop order you will see how you can participate too! So fun!

I was also planning on making my project for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge for this week. Her challenge was to make a project using a heart from an "older" cartridge. Here's where I must confess, I used Simply Charmed, which isn't THAT old, but I couldn't resist!!

Ok, onto the project! I made a Valentine's Day treat holder for my 7 year old niece, Taylor. The treat holder is made out of a Campbell's Chunky Soup can the she will be able to open the tab and find some treats! How fun, I think she will love it!  Here it is:

See the bottom of the soup can sitting next to it?!  The trick is to turn the can over and open it from the bottom! That way the pull tab will still work! When you're finished you fill the can, then glue the bottom back on and it looks like they are getting a can sealed with candy!!

The "label" of the can was cut at 10x4 3/4 to give a little overlap to glue it together. The red layer was also cut at 10x4 3/4 and then I used the Martha Stuart Doily Lace punch on both sides. The hearts with the wording were cut at 1.5" from Simply Charmed and the Face hearts were cut at 2" also from Simply Charmed.  The "I Love You" stamp is from My Pink Stamper Simply Sweet Occassions stamp set!

Hope you enjoy! Have a great day!

Another "Z fold" Card

Hi Everyone!

Right now I'm taking a break from studying for the NCLEX (RN licensing exam) to share a project with you all. I've been busy studying and didn't have time to make something new, so I decided to share something I created a while back. As I said before, I may have had longer periods in between posts, but I was still creating!!  So here is a Z fold card that I made for my Mother in Laws birthday, but never posted it.

These cards are super simple to make like a regular A2 card, but they just give it a different touch! To make them you start with an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock and lay it on your table so it is 11" wide (horizontally). On one side you measure the high end at 5 1/2", on the other you mark the low end at 3 1/4".  Line these 2 marks up on your paper trimmer (paper will be at an odd angle) and cut the cardstock so it looks slanted! Next you just score and fold at 3 5/8" and 7 1/4". Super simple!!

Patterened paper sizes you will need:
(1) 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
(2) 3 1/4 x 4
(1) 3 1/4 x 4 3/4

The imagine on the front was cut from Lacy Labels at, I believe, 2 1/2". The stamp is from a My Pink Stamper stamp set!

Also, my sister just started a blog of her own! Check her out at Crafty Panda

Have a great day! It's back to the books for me!

Forever Young Flower Card

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm sharing my first project post of 2011, with MANY more to come!!  I made this card for my BFF, Kayla,"just because." This is a regular A2 size card, I ran my 4x5.25" layer through the Spots and Dots cuddlebug embossing folder. I put a 1.5x5" strip of green shimmery paper (sorry I dont remember the company) towards the bottom of the card. The "Hugs" Stamp is from My Pink Stamper Simply Sweet Occassions stamp set. The flowers were cut at 1.25, 1.5, and 2" from the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge.

Want to hear something funny about this card?  The inspiration actually came from our Welcome Mat! As I was putting on my shoes one day I looked at it and thought "that would make a cute card!!" So I just used the doormat as a template!

Hope you all have a great day!!

Happy New Year!!! My 2011 New Years Resolutions

Hello Everyone!!

Happy New Year to all of you!!  I hope 2011 brings great things to everyone, although I don't know how it could beat my 2010; I married my best friend of 7 years, we both just graduated from college last month, and I was offered my first Nursing position at a local Children's hospital that I have ALWAYS wanted to work at. Such a great and exciting year. I know 2011 will be just as good with beginning my new job and as I say, "starting the grown up life" of no school!!! I quickly wanted to share my new years resolutions with you all, and once again apologize for my lack of blogging! As I said I just graduated from Nursing school, which is very time consuming, especially when you are also working a full time job!! I have been crafting all of this time, I just haven't had the time to post it all!

New Years Resolutions:
1. Be a better blogger. This will be easily achievable since I have alot more time on my hands now!!! So excited about this
2. Make my first video. My husband bought me a Flip for Christmas and I am super excited to make you all a video.
3. Become a member of a design team. I just think it would be so fun to work with such talented ladies like all of you! To share inspiration and help challenge you all in your crafting.

Wish me luck on meeting my 2011 goals!  If you have any New Years Resolutions I wish you luck too!
