Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma--"Z" fold card

Hi Everyone!

Wanted to share with you this weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma. Visit her blog Here. This weeks challenge was to go "Old School" and not use the Cricut or any other machines. I thought this challenge was going to be hard because I never made cards before the Cricut, but it was actually fun and pretty easy. I have a wedding to go to today so I made this wedding card with just cardstock and stamps!

I've saw this card fold called an "S" fold, "Z" fold, whatever it is, I love it! So you take an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock. Lay it horizontally on your table. for the high end you measure 5 1/2 and the low end I believe is 3 3/4. Line up your 2 marks and cut it so that it is slanted like this. Love it!

Stamps are a Stampendous Wedding set! Made this card super simple to complete!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! I'm off to make a wedding explosion box for my friend who is getting married today! I'll post pictures later!

Triangle Tri-fold Card & Throwback Thursday

Hey Everyone!

So I found card style that is new to me and had to play around with it! It's called a Triangle Tri-fold card and I think they are soo neat! I'm also super excited that I get to participate in my first "Throwback Thursday" challenge hosted by Emma over at My Creative Time! Every Thursday Emma hosts this challenge, typically she picks an "older" cartridge for everyone to use, this week though she decided to let everyone choose their own cartridge to use! I decided to use Home Accents because (shhhh, dont tell) I've had it for a while and have maybe used it once or twice. So, without further ado, here is my card!

To make this type of card you simple take a 4"x12" piece of cardstock, score at 4" and 8", then (in the same direction) score the 2 flaps diagonally. So super simple!! I then too a 3 3/4" square and cut in diagonally for the layer on top!

Both stamps are from My Pink Stamper Everday Occassions stamp set!

The butterfly is cut at 3 1/4" from Home Accents, both the blackout and standard features, then I added some stickles to the cutout part!  Patterned paper is from a DCWV Cafe Mediterranean stack.

Hope you like it!

Bachelorette "Bikini" Card

Today I wanted to share a super fun card that I made for a friends Bachelorette party coming up soon. I've saw this idea several places, it's not my own, but I thought it was too cute to pass up. Here is the front:

Using my Gypsy I took 2 5" hearts from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge, flipped one, then welded them together! So super easy. For the "bra" or "bikini" part I cut out 2 extra 5" hearts in the leopard paper and shaped the pieces by hand, not hard at all.  Now, here is the back:

I used the other 5" heart in the leopord paper to design the back. I then decided to add a little "tattoo" using the heart stamp from My Pink Stamper's Simply Sweet Occassions stamp set.  I just love how this card turned out! I think it's super cute!!

Have a fun and safe holiday weekend everyone!!

Wedding Layout using Sweethearts

Hi Everyone!

I made this wedding LO for a friend who is getting married in October. I was a bit sneaky and matched the colors to her wedding invites =P  I used Sweethearts for all of the cuts. "Tying the knot" and "Mr & Mrs" were both cut at 3". The ribbon is cut at 11.55" width wise, I laid this out on my Gypsy and I must say it looked like the ribbon would be much closer to the edges, but I still love how it turned out! I did some stitching with my white Signo gel pen, then added some bling to dress it up a bit!

Hope you are having a great week!  I will be back tomorrow to share a Bachelorette party card, love love love how this one turned out!!!
